Love the Ease of TurboTax

Great program, very helpful..

Two things:
Missing form for NYS, IT-241, Claim for Clean Heating Fuel Credit...inexplicably. And NO way to find or add this. So, I missed out on a legit deduction for bio-fuel. Hopefully this will be fixed next year.
Also, it would he good to advise charitable contributors NOT to delete the ID of a organization, even IF you didn't contribute during the current year; so you don't have to go through all the data entry all over again if you add them to the list the following year!
What's great about it: Speeds the process of doing this tremendously. Saves hours and hours of time!
What's not so great: Missing a form and could use more intuitve instructions on Charitable contributions..

Excellent except for Estimated Tax Payments

Every year I struggle with Estimated Tax Payments and W-4s in TurboTax. I finally get it adjusted and new W-4s printed, but it's not intuitive. Please make this easier.
What's great about it: I'm really comfortable with TurboTax
What's not so great: Working on Estimated Tax Payments and W-4s is a pain

The only comment I have is maybe notify the user on which calculation Turbotax is using on line 44 of 1040. Took me a little while to figure out why my calculation wasn't matching TurboTax's.

Pretty easy to do

First time using the product and I am amazed how easy it is. Most of the time spent was me doubting how easy it was. AMT was a little confusing for me because I couldn't tell if the number at the top of the screen for Federal Amount included it or not from the beginning.
What's great about it: Downloading W2's and Investment statements is fantastic.
What's not so great: AMT processing is a little confusing

Easy process

Great product -- easy to use and I buy it every year. I wish it still included the state return fee for eFile in the product and I often wonder if I should simply print and file because of the additional fee.
What's great about it: easy to use, quick process
What's not so great: I always wonder if I truely am getting all available options.

The only tax program for me

Since this is the only tax program that I've ever used, its hard fro me to compare. However this one must be pretty good since I've never looked at any alternatives. I love the consistent interface from year to year. How many programs make us learn a new interface each time its updated (like MS Office). I do not have time to learn to be an accountant or a professional tax preparer. With TurboTax, I feel more competent to do my own filings than I ever did with a manual return.
What's great about it: Imports data from last year, complete and detailed, uses most current updates
What's not so great: Paying additional for my state return filing

Great Time-Saver

I've been using TurboTax for personal taxes for at least 15 years, and for business for about 10 years. I can complete both business and personal taxes in less time than it used to take me to complete just one. I like the options TurboTax gives me: step-by-step, pick the topics I want, or review the forms. It's a great time-saver and one I won't do taxes without!
What's great about it: Easy to use and gives options for every skill level
What's not so great: Some help topics not explained well enough
