Had a problem with my MI state taxes. There were no answers on the forum and the tech suport wait was outrageous!!!!
What's great about it: Liked the tranfer of last years info
What's not so great: Not much for help when I needed it!!

Incorrect data auto-populates from last year

I used Turbotax in 2011, so this year, when I used it again, the program automatically imported data from last year's tax forms and put it in my 2012 forms; for example, my wife's taxpayer ID number and the amount of alimony I paid in 2011. Unfortunately, the data imported wasn't correct. I didn't notice all the mistakes until AFTER I had filed. Next year, I will look for a different product. No more Turbotax.
What's great about it: At this point: nothing

Oops - missed

My Michigan manual tax mailing instructions has the WRONG ADDRESS for submission of my return and payments. The street/PO address is missing!
Note 1st year Michigan pensions taxed. Rep Gov taxed retired for Michigan business' benefit.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Fast. Updated through 15 April . Free Fed electronic filing
What's not so great: Typos. Excessive $$$$ for electronic state filing. Download price higher store price.

Finally finished

Started loading to my MAC - when finished was notified it will not work on my operating system - luckily I have a PC. Forms were not ready when I went to file, I was notifed by e-mail when they were ready - 2 days before they really were there! Overall, I am not satified with this productthis year. I have used it for the past 7 - 8 years and may not again.
What's not so great: Could not download to MAC

Have used Turbo Tax since the mid 90s. Tried other programs, but have always come back to Turbo tax.
What's great about it: Very good program, easy to use
What's not so great: Its deductable needs more back buttons, Hard to move back and forth through inventories

Good product but might be easier for someone who does not have a through knowledge of taxes
