Mostly Good

The guidance was very good, however the import feature only partly worked. It would not import my previous year from Turbo Tax without me first opening the file, then my dividend info was imported but not my 1099 from the same company.
What's great about it: Good guidance
What's not so great: Didn't import properly

Straightforward, no pain

Young people who have always had the benefit of tax software will never know how difficult it used to be. I used to have to read entire IRS publications just to find out if some simple tax rule applied to me. Even when it didn't apply to me, I had to waste my time reading the publications just to be sure. Thanks Turbotax for giving me back the months of March & April.
What's great about it: Clear interview questions, ability to drill deeper for understanding.
What's not so great: Stock broker statements need to be easier to understand; this isn't Turbotax's fault.

I used Tax cut pretty frequently, then a few years ago i did tax cut and Turbo at the same time, to see which was better, Turbo got me the better refund. I have been using them ever since. Even for complex things like when I sold my second home; rollled to a roth IRA etc. the questtions make it easy to follow the explanantions make it easy to feel confident you are filing an accurate return and getting the best for your money. I love e-file, I am usually finished and receving me refund before my friends have even started. turn.
What's great about it: easy to follow instructions and explanations
What's not so great: can't really think of any

Smooth Refund

I find Turbo Tax very easy to use and navigate. I have been using it since 2007.
There are areas that needs improvement. When I am done, it usually asks for same type of errors. Errors that has questions I was not asked before the error check. Also Also too much update requests. I was asked for an update 3 times before I finished even though I updated when I started the program.

I have been using Turbo tax for years and find it does an excellent job.
What's great about it: Like that you can go form step by step to forms
What's not so great: Problems with certain annuity payments paid on old life insurance policies that have an annual exclusion

What's not so great: Sometimes the timing of calculations throws you off.

I have been using Turbo-Tax for a number of years now and find that it has been very useful. I particularly like the help I can receive if I have a question. So far, I haven't had to go too deeply into the "help" part of the program.
What's great about it: Virtually everything
What's not so great: none that I can think of
