TT is relatively easy to follow, even for a novice. It walks you through every scenario in which you may find a tax deduction to maximize your refund. Some items may be confusing to decipher, although there are often "help" cues available to help you through. Saving the previous year's information is a huge time saver and a very convenient benefit.
What's great about it: Thorough and user friendly
What's not so great: Could use more detail in certain areas

I have used this product 10 or more years and cannot imagine any other product will would surpass this one. It is very easy to use and answers all of my questions.

Easy to use, even with a few complex situations!

I had a few complex situations this year that I didn't have last year. The help menu helped me understand how to navigate through this unfamiliar areas.
I also like that I can import my last years information accurately and easily!!
What's great about it: Program easy to use and consistent from year to year.
What's not so great: I haven't had an issue yet and I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 4~5 years!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

In general the product is very good.
It seems the system is now better about bringing forward information from previous years, but there were a couple of places that seemed questionable.

I would suggest adding a way to create a running review, so that I could add detail to the review right while I'm in that section of the return. That way the exact detail is much easier to relay.
Also, in the Iowa return there is a spot for providing the amount of surtax paid for school districts and EMS services. It would be better if we could just enter the tax percentages and then have the system calculate the amount.
What's great about it: Federal Return fairly thorough and quick
What's not so great: State Return lacked good detail
