Good way to go

This is my ninth year using Turbo Tax, I first used TT when we had made a 1,100 mile move and wanted to ensure we deducted as many of the expenses as possible.
I am of the mind that one must gather all the information to do their taxes and no one knows their particular situation better than themselves. Thus it comes down to entering the information and still doing some research on one or two new items each year. Every year I put all of the information from our regular sources of income in and note the results on the federal and state bottom lines and then go back and put in the wife’s two side businesses to calculate how much tax her side income adds - I wouldn't do that on paper and it would be an extra charge if you were paying someone to do your returns.

What's great about it: Does a lot of menial and fairly technical work for you.
What's not so great: There are some places that the questions could be clearer. Price has gone up a lot.

Another year filing with Turbo Tax. Love that you can skip areas that does not apply and makes it very quick to complete. I have 2 states to file, and it's a pain having to buy the 2nd one and they pay again at e-file. It should be one payment for both.
What's great about it: Walks you through every step
What's not so great: Expensive, keeps asking for more money..

This is at least my 8th year using TurboTax and I have never been disappointed in the ease of use, or, more importantly, audited.
What's great about it: Same simple to follow prompts as previous years

Overall I find Turbo Tax very easy to use. I have been using it for years now and also do my parents.
What's great about it: it is easy for you to input the info and to let turbotax put it in the right spot
What's not so great: I don't always understand why certain information is put where it is
