Incredibly frustrating

Poorly done, over-priced, ads, sucker you into paying outrageous amount to file state, poor help section, jerks you around without help, didn't produce data on forms as it should have.
What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: very poorly done on royalties and rents

So Easy

I have small children that continually interrupt me while doing my taxes. I was able to walk away several times and pick up right where I left off. I love that I can do it in my own home at my convenience. Great program.

What's great about it: sat at home for 7 hours for 2 diff days if you call that a pro
What's not so great: had to return a bad disc that kept moving entries to the wrong lines .

VERY POOR this year. Never had these problems in years past. State forms never came up until I read others had to shut down and reboot.....and was charged again for state return.
What's not so great: Would not bring up my state return. Paid and finally read where you had to shut down and reboot to get state form pulled

Stress free filing!

I used H&R Block a few years ago and even then I received yet another bill from the IRS stating I owed them money...something was incorrect! I have used Turbo Tax for 3 years now and I love it......everything has been error free and, even though I have to pay, I feel confident that Turbo Tax has done everything for me that could be done. Great job! Thank you!!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax just makes my life easier!
What's not so great: I couldn't find anything I didn't like!

STATE DOWNLOAD DID NOT WORK ON MY FIRST ATTEMPT. WAITED A DAY AND CAME BACK TO IT, THEN IT WORKED. NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THE FACT THAT THERE IS NOT A TELEPHONE NUMBER TO CALL AND A PERSON TO TALK TO. OTHER THAN THAT A FAVORABLE EXPERIENCE.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax is so easy

Easy to load and update as always. Sped through the Federal tax return in no time. However, the State would not open, it just kept prompting me to start, over and over, till I finally closed it out completely and restarted the Turbo Tax program. At the end it would not finish up and after many attempts I had to completely close out the program and restart it. It did eventually let me finish and enter my refund preference, but it took longer than in previous years.
What's great about it: Finds every deduction possible and prints all the extra forms.
What's not so great: Had a hard time getting this years state version to open.

Problems

I purchased and installed a copy of the Deluxe version, but when it came to filing for the State, it connected to the internet to purchase again. Not able to file state return.
