6th straight year I've done my Federal and State taxes using TurboTax. Convenience of automatically populating historical data into current year return is one of my favorite features...no digging though previous years documents. Appreciate that there haven;t been major facelifts to the user interface pages - familiarity facilitates ease of use.
What's great about it: Familiar format retained year-to-year. Effective on-screen help/info/what's this? features
What's not so great: None!

Works for varying situatiosn

I do my taxes, my boyfriend, my parents, and my niece. Turbotax handles the ins and outs of IRA's, inheritance, self-employment, investments, and other situations that they come up with for me. I get my money's worth!
What's great about it: SImplicty

The only negative aspect was the expensive charge to email state files. It was more than the value.
What's great about it: fast and easy
What's not so great: efile of state was to expensive for children's files

Easier than last year. Had a problem correcting a error with a pension plan. I entered enter N (taxable by state of MI) which was the correct answer but the progran would not register the correction.

The state form tells you that you are all done without allowing you to review each section. It simply feeds directly from the federal form without giving me an opportunity to intercede. Since I understand the tax code an have worked as a professional tax preparer I would like to feel that I have a greater ability to work on each section of the tax form, especially when it comes to the Schedule C.
What's great about it: quick and simple, helps you locate deductions you might otherwise overlook
What's not so great: I want more control over the state form.

Always use Turbo and have good clean records of my taxes.
What's great about it: Keeps me focused on my dedutions and which one count
What's not so great: takes a while to do but worth the hour or two.

Solid product

Consistently solid product. I've been using TurboTax for many, many years. It's always been a reliable software product. I've never run into any problems. Unless I run into issues at some point, I intend to keep using this package to do my taxes every year.
What's great about it: Pulls in data from previous return and downloads data from a variety of financial institutions
What's not so great: none
