No easier way around

I can see no reason to pay for e-filing a state form when I am paying and being charged to do it make THEIR job easier. Your selections did not provide a simple path. The beginning of the program did and I will continue to use Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Got everything together, followed the prompts and it was done, with nothing left over.
What's not so great: Towards the end I wanted E-file and paper file state, it wasn't straight forward, but possible.

Turbotax is is simple, straightforward, and the gem of the industry. Why anyone would use anything else is beyond me. I can't imagine doing my taxes long hand, and I feel confident that I get the full refund.
What's great about it: so easy to use; straightforward; just caxn't be beat

The 2012 TurboTax program worked flawlessly in preparing and filing my income tax forms. What a relief it is not having to worry.

The program is eay to use with plenty of supporting documentation fro the IRS site and directly from Turbo Tax.

TurboTax

I have used TurboTax for years and have no problems. I find it to be a quick and easy way to complete all of my calculations. I don't have to do the math,and I don't have to gather up all of my files and take them to someone to pay that person. It's well worth it to use this program.
What's great about it: Easy to use, quick and reliable.
What's not so great: None.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Relieved to get to "Print"

The domestic partner process is inherently annoying: first I prepare two 1040s, one for each of us, to be filed. Then I have to prepare a fake, or "as if," joint federal return, which is the basis for our state joint return.
Turbo Tax works off one federal return but I have to enter all the information from my partner's return, by hand, as it were, adding it to my information to make the joint return. Since both returns are here in the computer (after all, I just finished them), I wish there was a way to have the program pull that information out and automatically make one joint return of it. Sure would be simpler for me.

What's great about it: I don't think I could do my taxes anymore without Turbo Tax. I love being able to make changes.
What's not so great: I wish the domestic partner return process was better.
