Takes you through what is needed and asks questions looking for new deductions. Checks previous years return for comparison and imports data..
It doesn't take too long to complete.
Don't like all the filing fees and processing fees.
What's great about it: Takes you through what is needed.
What's not so great: filing fees after paying for software

Been using Turbo Tax for years - it makes tax season less stressful for me. I like being able to get help on-line if needed.

Solid Tax Preparation

I had to manually enter state tax-exempt interest dividends on my mutual fund. Starting in tax-year 2012, tax-exempt interest dividends from mutual funds are reported on form 1099-DIV; they are no longer reported on form 1099-INT. Within TurboTax, the form 1099-DIV doesn't contain any field to enter the state tax exempt interest and I had to manually account for this deduction. I am very disappointed that TurboTax did not account for this change that occurred for tax year 2012.
What's great about it: Quickly and easily enter forms
What's not so great: Missed State Tax Exempt Interest on Form 1099-DIV

REFUND MADE SUPER EASY!

I USED TO DO MY TAXES BY HAND AND USING TURBO TAX IS SO QUICK, EASY AND VERY UNDERSTANDABLE FOR SOMEONE WHO IS NOT FAMILIAR WITH TAX LAWS. I WILL DEFINITELY USE IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR INSTEAD OF ANY TAX SERVICE.

Taxes done- on my way

As a first time filer, I didn;t know how quick Turbo Tax would make the process. It seemed liked they asked a lot of quesions but it made me feel like everything was going to be covered. It's important to be sure you get all the deductions and credits you deserve. Finished both Federal and State tax filings in about 30 minutes and I'm done and out of here..... Thanks Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Wow that was quick
What's not so great: minor errors corrected last minute

I've used turbo tax for the last 7 years and love it! I do all my friends and family taxes for them to get it them done quickly & cheap. It takes 15 min max per return. We get our refunds within 5-7 days.
What's great about it: Simple & easy to use. Easy to follow instructions and quick

Good tax program - MS form problems!

Excellent tax preparation software EXCEPT with transferring 1099 information to the Mississippi state tax return. Had to manually enter numerous items in the state tax form that did not transfer or was not asked for in the federal return.
What's great about it: Works well, quick accurate transfer for previous year.
What's not so great: Problems with MS tax forms
