The whole process is easy. You can file your income tax with step by step instructions and then e-file for free. A great product
What's great about it: help screens, step by step instruction. Totally easy to use
What's not so great: nothing I can think of

Small Consulting Business

With a small consulting company besides my regular W2 income, the software is helpful in documenting all the deductions I was able to as well as keep my other income and deductions easily noted. I think it was easier this year than last but a better explanation of where to put the income was put in the directions.
What's great about it: I have a small consulting business that earned about 20K this year and it was easier than last to document the earnings
What's not so great: Two places to document 1099

Again it was fast and easy to use TurboTax. Even had to consult with Tax Expert (Brian) and he was a great help and stayed on the line and walked me thru a correction to the very end. Great job!

TurboTax is easy, accurate, and keeps a running record that it automatically accesses when relevant to the current year. That aspect is what is most worthwhile to me.

I have used Turbo Tax for over ten years. Every year it gets easier and more helpful. I can easily compare previous years' data with this years and see if I may have left something out. I always come away thinking how much I like this product.
What's great about it: Easy Guide is just that - makes 1040 a snap
What's not so great: None

the best way to file

TurboTax is a great software program. Nobody loves filling out tax forms, doing a lot of math and answering a lot of questions. But TurboTax makes it a more pleasant experience and one which can be rewarding financially without the need of a personal tax accountant. The answers are all inside the program or by requesting help from their expert advisers.

was very easy to run through, took a few sit downs and what not, but overall I wouldn't buy others software, just this one...for me it was this or do it by hand, and this was easier
What's great about it: everything in one place on one disc and updatable
What's not so great: added fee for state at the end and sales pitches for other stuff
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
