Continues to get easier

I have in the past used a CPA as well as H.R. Block's software for tax prep. We have a fairly straightforward return at this point and TurboTax made it pretty

Slow but Easy

I'll continue to use Turbo Tax in the future for lack of more preferable option rather than because Turbo Tax impresses me. I like the layout and usability, but the start up time and frequent updates are frustrating. Overall, its worth it to still do my taxes with Turbo Tax, but I do ask friends and family for their reviews of other programs.
What's great about it: Easy to get a filing together that I is accurate.
What's not so great: Program is slow to start up and seems to have a lot of updates (which also take quite a while).

DIY Taxes - save a bundle

I'm a DIYer for pretty much everything and I've been using TurboTax for about ten years now. The TurboTax software does much more than just me save money on tax preparation - it keeps me informed of how the US tax system works, thereby saving me money on taxes paid this year and provides direction for many decisions we might make in the future. Playing "What-If" games and the comparisons in our year-to-year finances and taxes paid and the comparisons against the national averages are both helpful and eye-opening. It's so easy, I've helped my three kids and a couple of friends do their taxes too.
What's great about it: Easy to use, great directions, very thorough
What's not so great: None I can think of
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Easy and Great Tool for Taxes

I have use Turbo tax for over 10 years. I have tried the competition to ensure the accuracy and even those face to face locations. I continue to use Turbo Tax for the cost and ease.
What's great about it: Easy Transfering of Data
What's not so great: I haven't experienced one yet

Quick but buggy

Interface is good, clean and understandable. Displays of previous year against current year are very useful. However, this year and last there have been an occasion when the high level program will not let me edit a data box, even though my cursor is in the box. In both cases by clicking down through various menus I have found a path to a worksheet which has the incorrect data and can be edited. It is not an insurmountable problem but annoying in what is not a cheap software package. If for some reason the program does not think I should edit the field, it should provide warnings and instructions to override its advice.
What's great about it: Step through guide is quick and easy.
What's not so great: Data entry has annoying bugs

The title says it all -- with all my paperwork saved in a folder over the course of the year, it took practically no time at all to walk through my tax return this year. It was a little tedious to click through all the exemptions I knew my family didn't qualify for, but I appreciated that there wasn't anything that was going to be missed.
