Great package but had software problems

Love the way the software walks you through the process. Easy to use and helps you maximize your deductions. Had numerous software issues where it would get lost and start sections over and had problems downloading the State package
What's great about it: Like the step by step aspect
What's not so great: Software problems
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Satisfied with Return

Good program. I feel I got the best analysis I could get. It skipped over a few forms but I was able to easily go back and fill them in. I don't like taxes but this was as easy as it gets.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: I had to go back and enter some forms

Just a few things

When I realized I could do my taxes myself with TurboTax I was so happy. If I take my time and have all my paperwork in order it doesn't feel too hard. Before taxes were a foreign language and I always used a tax preparer.
This year's Turbo Tax seemed quite different to me. Downloading and importing my last year's return into this return didn't help. The wording appeared different from 2011 to 2012 in each section and I kept going back and forth to make sure I was reading it correctly. I don't know how you could make that process any smoother, but it would help. Thank you.
What's great about it: I love the "step by step"
What's not so great: importing the previous year's return: confusing

TurboTax is an excellent and efficient tax preparation software package. I highly recommend it for anyone wishing to file their taxes electronically.
What's great about it: It is an outstanding tax preparation software.
What's not so great: I have not been able to convince my parents to use it.

State Filing Stymied

State of Maryland rejected the e-filed return; Turbo Tax could not provide reasoning - I have re-filed and we will see if the 2nd time works.
Also, I had great difficulty getting the State filing completed; per advice from user community, I closed TT and restarted and eventually got the State return completed.
Together, these 2 issues indicate some notable Quality Control issues need to be reviewed in advance of next year's release - or we will be looking for a new product :-)
