It's as EASY as ABC!

Turbotax is so easy to use and user friendly especially with the step by step questions and instructions. Any first time user would be able to do their taxes even without any tax knowledge because the questions are so straight to the point. I've been using turbotax ever since I started doing my own taxes. I've tried a few others, but found myself back to turbotax. It's not only easy, but it's TURBO FAST! You can finish your taxes in few minutes and not to mention, you'll get your return fast if you e-file.
What's great about it: user friendly
What's not so great: none.

Love TurboTax

I have used Turbotax for years. It is the only program I have ever used and I really like the ease and accuracy of this program. However, I do not understand why, when I complete my Federal return, this program automatically goes to the state return when I have indicated I live and work in Florida, which has no income tax. If this program can recognize that I live in Florida, it ought to be able to ask the questions to determine if I have any of the special conditions that require filing in Florida and then move on. I shouldn't have to deal with figuring out how to say no to and get out of the State portion of the program. Annoying.
What's great about it: It is so easy!
What's not so great: Why offer State and why keep trying to get me to file State when I live in Florida?

Marketer's Dream - Automatic subscription billing that cant be turned off and no way to do anything until I paid again and again. The absolute last time I will ever use TurboTax after many years

1. Easy importing
2. Step-by-step or Open individual forms.
3. Optional detail dialog boxes
4. Great integration with deduct-it
5. Solid importing from Quicken
6. Simple e-filing
CONS:
1. Education credit step-by-step section is not sophisticated enough. It assumes the same expenses spent matches the 1099-T. Overrides on the student worksheet needs to be done all over the place to represent what was actually paig

Love the ease of use but still very thorough. However program should ask up front if you will use short form then I could skip a lot of the questions that were irrelevant

Very disappoited

I have used Tubo Tax for over 10 years, I will have to say this is the first year that I had problems with it. Due to the issues with filing the State refund I doubt if I would purchase this product next year.
What's great about it: User friendly, until you needed help
What's not so great: Ststem kept returning my State Review with an error message but no error

Works well for us

I've used TurboTax for several years. Each year it has helped streamline the tax process. There are a few areas, particularly ItsDeductible, that could have better user interfaces, but overall I like the product and will use it again next year.
* it would be nice to have printable checklists for ItsDeductible to make it easier to record donations to charities like Goodwill. For example, a single sheets for women's clothing, men's clothing, kitchen items, etc.
What's great about it: Straightforward, relatively painless, faster than by hand
What's not so great: complicated pricing structure
