Relatively smooth, straight forward program.
What's great about it: like following the "bouncing ball"
What's not so great: had a ? re calculation--needed to check with IRS, All resolved.

Upload Prior Info

I started from scratch on this year's return because I wasn't sure where I had saved last year's info. I located my prior info and started a 2nd return which immediately located an additional $500 in refunds!
What's great about it: bigger return just by uploading last year's info

The Only Tax software to use

I've been using TurboTax since 1997. Before that, Tax time was a fearful experience. Especially dealing with Capital Gains/Losses and Charitable Donations. If it weren't for my TurboTax data saved, I would have easily forgotten the Carry Over amounts. Also, as a Widower, the program helped me identify that I was able to set my filing status as "Qualifying Widower".
What's great about it: It's so easy it takes the fear of doing taxes away

I've been using Turbo Tax since I can remember. TT takes care of the administration upfront by migrating previous information into the next years forms. Its worth it just for that feature.
What's great about it: Easy to use and migrate files
What's not so great: can't think of any

Easy way to file.

Overall, a very useful tax return tool. Easy to follow the guided tour and filling out each area. Lots of help files when you have questions, including web access to more. With several children in college, I had to file an amended return and the instructions were not as clear why or how to fix the issue. But I was able to work my way through it.
What's great about it: Well guided tour for filling in the different areas.
What's not so great: Had to file an ammended return and was not as helpful in what needed to be changed.
