So Easy!

I have always been afraid of filing taxes myself. With the help of a friend the first year, it seemed so easy. Filing my second year was a snap!
What's great about it: Importing last year's returns made filing my current returns a snap!
What's not so great: I receive W2s for multiple states and the price to file is just too high.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Used for years. Always found easy to use. Online import of W-2 and investment data simplifies process
What's great about it: Easy to Use -- Guides if you wish
What's not so great: Checking for additional deductions

I would not use anything else.
What's great about it: Easy guide, step by step. Checks for valid and invalid entries.
What's not so great: Does not find the cash for me to pay taxes due.

Turbo your Tax, time

Turbo Tax does an excellent job and am glad they made it consumer friendly. There's no guess work, cause they took it all out. I'm not an accountant but this program does good for the average person. Thank you for putting in the hard work to help us. Just don't make it to where it's geared more to being Government friendly.

What's great about it: It double checks your filing, down to you phone #.
What's not so great: We as consumer shouldn't have to pay for State Return.

Intuit - is really into it!

If you don't want to pay a high sum of money to any outsider, CPA - whomever, try Turbo Tax & see it for yourself....I will continue to use it each and every year!!!
What's great about it: Very simple to use and felt totally guided all the way
What's not so great: None!

Great Way To Get "Er Done!

Overall, a great tool! Many people have told me about either free or cheaper tax preparation programs "on-line" ... but I have used TurboTax for years now and have never had any problems with it and/or experienced any questions/audits, etc. from the IRS or State taxing agents.
What's great about it: Detailed - covered everything quickly & precisely.
What's not so great: A few times had difficulties understanding explanations on eligible deductions, etc.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Our 8th annual use. gets better every year and easier to use. Keeps tracks of previous years for comparison and easy to forget passive loss that comes back to help you our when profit in small business is entitled to some offset. All of the automatic transfer of previous info is quick and much easier than reentry. Is available early in the year to get started and offers automatic updates to have the latest information at time of filing - electronic filing is great as well as payment or deposit of funds to or from your bank.
What's great about it: Easy seamless and well guided
What's not so great: Really non except need for update downloads
