Horrible Experience

I just spent 3-1/2 hours trying to use your software. This is disappointing because it is the first time in 4 years I have had problems. I feel like I wasted my $50.00 on the software as I was told it was a lemon disk. They had me download online to which I was told they would cover a $20 charge for my state file. It took 3 phone calls including being hung up on once and I still had to pay. Highly disappointed and done with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Got my refund done
What's not so great: Poor Customer Service, was told the software we bought in the store was a lemon. Promised free efile's for both state a

Excellent software !

I have been using Turbo Tax for several years. Every year they improve on their product. New York has some unusual local tax forms that Turbo Tax did not have a few years ago. After sending them a suggestion that year to include a particular form I need to file, the forms were included the following year. I used their talk with a pro to answer a few questions I had with this years taxes. After waiting a few minutes on hold, I was connected with a tax representative that answered all my questions and took the time to explain the why's. I highly recommend this product and will continue purchasing it year after year.
What's great about it: Very accurate and detailed calculations. Easy walk through. Able to jump out of walk through and edit modes effortlessl
What's not so great: Unable to print some info pages.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Disappointed

Very disappointed. Was under impression that Deluxe included State as it did last year. Was astonished to find out after finishing federal that state would cost an additional $39. Not very happy. Would probably have purchased another product if I had known this.
What's great about it: easy to to federal

Been using TT for over 10 years. This year has been terrible from download to filing to having my state return rejected.
I'll be going elsewhere next year.
What's great about it: No Pros for 2012
What's not so great: Worst Ever

I needed to do a second state return, but couldn't get it to work, as TurboTax transferred wrong data that I couldn't change.

I needed a copy of taxes after death of father, could not print.
What's not so great: Could not print tax forms for records. came up as gibberish - PDF, Very important failure

So I've used turbo tax for six years now and every other year has been great. This year was ridicules. There are more fees and the state tax downloads were horrible. Next year I'll be going some where else. Thanks... but really no thanks. Done.
What's great about it: It was help full with federal returns.
What's not so great: What was with the charging $40 for each state? Wasn't one free?

There is a problem when I get to the end of my tax return and I must pay in order to file my return when I am to receive a free state tax.
