Done and Done!

There would be no way I could fill everything out, and know all of my deductions, without TurboTax's help.
Also, I know I'd be paying a "tax guy" at least 3 times what I paid for Turbo Tax.

What's great about it: Step by step directions
What's not so great: took a little time...

What's great about it: very simple and easy to follow
What's not so great: Had a problem with 1099 Misc section but got it done.

I'm an accountant and Turbo Tax takes the anxiety out of having to know all the tax laws. It makes filling out and filing the taxes quick and painless.

one problem

The review only showed me a few lines of a worksheet and I had no idea where it came from or how it related to which part of everything I had filled in earlier. How does the worksheet relate to the "interview" style information collected earlier?
What's not so great: When the review zeroed in on a "problem" there was no context relating it to the information I had filled in earlier.

As always, separation of tax-exempt for home state and otherwise should be an easy thing for you to include on the spreadsheet (ie how much of the interest/dividends are from you home state--?percentage?).
What's great about it: Fairly straightforward
What's not so great: spreadsheet should include separation of state and federal interest and dividends components
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Very simple but thorough step-by-step filing even for more complicated returns. Have used TurboTax since 1989 when it came in a box with a dozen diskettes!
