There is no explanation of why the total mortgage pmi was not deducted. If this is a tax increase from the previous year, tell us.

So Easy

I have been using TurboTax for Years. In fact, I looked on my book shelf with all the previous year's boxes and the oldest one is from Tax Year 1995. Why would anyone pay someone to do their taxes when TurboTax will step you through it. Plus, if you have used TurboTax before, it will import all your previous information saving so much time not having to type!

My taxes were WAY more complex this year. Turbo Tax took me through step by step and made it a piece of cake! Instead of owing like I thought I would, I am getting back a pretty good refund. It doesn't get much better than that.

I like to be in a little control and TurboTax lets me do that. I also like to be able to go anywhere in the return that I want to check what I entered, and I can do that with out any problems. I have used Turbtax Deluxe for many years and will continue to use it untill I don't have to pay tax's anymore.

Two states is complicated

Somewhat confusing when spouse is working in a separate state during the year. You end up having to file as part-year resident returns in both states to accomplish segregating state income appropriately.
What's great about it: Federal return is a breeze
What's not so great: Not much help on multiple state in same year

Overal clean and straight forward. I experienced confusion at the end in getting copies to review before filing - eventually succeeded. Auto-loading appropriate information from prior years and federal information on state form made the whole process rapid and helped eliminate copy errors. I have used TurboTax several years and will continue to do so.
What's great about it: Went clear, clean & quick
What's not so great: Wish Chartities list could be alphabetized
