I spoke (at length) with "Richard" concerning a problem I was having; he exercised great patience in helping me correct the error. I had never had a problem with Turbo Tax before and don't anticipate having anymore, but if I do I know that I will receive courteous, patient, and helpful guidance from the Turbo Tax personnel. Thank you.

Have used for 11 years now. Works great, easy to use. I hate to think of all the money I gave to the government prior to using Turbo Tax.

Pretty good, but not for the faint of heart

Overall I like the product and will continue using it. Depending on the year and circumstances taxes liabilities can change. I feel that TT's 'what changed this year in your personal circumstance'' is not as comprehensive as I would like to see. In the end I was left having to research a handful of tax laws.
What's great about it: Same solid walk-through
What's not so great: Lacks adaquate questions to vet new tax liabilities, credits, and deductions

GREAT WAY TO DO YOUR OWN TAXES!

Turbo Tax is what I have used for years to do my own taxes. If I had to pay a tax preparer to do my taxes, I would still have had to come up with all the same details. Now I've gotten into the habit of converting all tax related documents, ie cancelled checks, quicken reports listing tax related transactions, emails and receipts received by email to .pdf format and saving all the information into a new folder each year under my "taxes" directory on my hard drive. I place the .pdf copy of the finished taxes into the same folder, and any hard copy documents I might need if ever audited, into a file folder. This way, everything is well organized and backed up. I credit Turbo Tax with not only asking the right questions to help me get my taxes done, but prompting lasting organizational skills, so critical to being prepared in case of an audit, or simply to refer back to when doing my own taxes in the future.

What's not so great: WHY DO A 2106 AT ALL? QUESTIONS ON STATE INCOME TAX PROVIDED A LINK THAT DID NOT GO DIRECTLY TO THE ANSWERING REFERENCE

I make ample use of It'sDeductible and find it to be very useful except for the time to navigate around it to find an item I donated.

Snapshops were useful, but when I needed more detailed information FAQ were not useful, and I had to go to the IRS publications.
What's great about it: explanatory snapshops were very useful
What's not so great: FAQ may not answered with enough details
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved
