I have used Turbo Tax for at least 15 years. 1 year I tried another product and came back to turbo tax every years since.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbotax is simple to use and makes filing taxes less painful than it is using paper.
What's great about it: ease of use and incorporation of previous year's return information
What's not so great: None.

Need an easy way to try Married Filing Jointly vs Married Filing Separately. Currently you have to create three separate returns in order to compare the two scenarios.

I have been using Turbo Tax for 15+ yrs. I LOVE this product!! Turbo tax has helped with all the tax changes my life has had; divorce, selling house, dividing assets, buying house, investments, losing job, new marriage,moving to another state. I also love being able to file electronically (when I am due a refund) or print & mail (when I owe). I have never had a tax agency come back to me for an incorrect return. Thanks a million.
What's great about it: Easy to understand interview questions. Prior info transfers nicely.
What's not so great: I can not think of any.

managing my own tax

i love the turbo tax, as it's so convenient, it will ask you some questions and helping you to get through the whole process. However, what i dont like is when i type my question in, it would tell you what it is, but didn't show me the direction how to get to that section. Also, i would strongly suggest that turbo tax should have a pre-paid state tax return. In that case I don't need to pay it again.
