Easy & Thorough - As Usual

What's great about it: Logical sequence anticipates what input data must be available. Downloading from investment advisor and previous year e
What's not so great: Deductions for medical and "other" expenses is a bit confusing and could probably be better defined.

Simple

Easy to use and importing last year’s taxes and this year’s W2 forms eliminate may worries about accuracy. The Easy Guide could be better if you could look down the page and see what was completed and what remained, but the Visit All being the same color as the not done items kills that idea. As you finish an Easy View section, the next section is at the bottom of the screen and you scroll down a lot. Would suggest the focus be set to the top of the newly entered section.
What's great about it: Love that it remember last years carry over’s and you don't have to look up last year’s tax information.
What's not so great: Have to scroll down the screen a thousand times as you go through Easy Guide

I've used Turbo tax for 5 years now. I think I've always bought the dvd in the store, but it is nice to know that you can order Turbo tax on line. I really do like that Turbo tax takes all the information from your taxes from the year before (if you filed using Turbo tax) and puts that information on the tax forms for this year's taxes. Turbo Tax has also found deductions that I didn't even think about or read about when I use to file for myself.
What's great about it: updates personal info to new year, easy to use, used it for 5 years now
What's not so great: wish there was a form for updating W4 or W4-p

All in all not a bad program. Very happy with the "forgiveness of Debt" section - answered my questions and saved us a lot of money :-).
What's great about it: Took a lot of questions out of all of the tax issues.
What's not so great: Had to double check to see if additional forms were attached.

All and all I can't complain. Easy to understand and navigates you through the process.
What's great about it: checks for errors and guides you through the process
What's not so great: does not let you know ahead of time to do It's deductible before

Overall, it was a positive experience. It would be good if one could see the actual 1040 Form, however incomplete, along the way.
What's great about it: Feel confident that everything is accurate.
What's not so great: Can't review actual tax forms until the very end.

Disappointed with AZ state return

We qualified to receive a credit of $2500 as a military retired pension but your program would not allow us to take the credit. We will have to send our return to the AZ state using a hand written-in form to get the credit. Why did your program leave this out? We know that a lot of military retirees live in this state!
What's not so great: Was not able to get credit for military retirement.
