Figured it all out AGAIN!

I have been using Turbo Tax for years, and it is the only way to file your taxes. It is all so easy and understandable, and downloads info from the previous year. Love it!
What's great about it: Walks you through the whole tax process, explaining everything.
What's not so great: Liked importing info, but had trouble with one company and entered info myself.

Easier each year

Have been using Turbo Tax for years now to do my returns. Seems to get easier each year. Tell everyone I know that don't have a complicated return that this is the way to go, don't pay a tax preparer to do it for you.

Overall this is a great product for people who prefer to do their own taxes instead of letting a stranger do it for them. This program lets you go step by step and easily explains everything you need to know, including how to calculate certain amounts if you want to double check the system's numbers using hyperlinks. Like all taxes, it can be a little time consuming if you don't fully know what you're doing, but better to take a long time and get a large refund than to get it done in 20 minutes and only get a small refund. I approve of this program.
What's great about it: Step by step, decent and simple instructions, and the ability to go back and redo a section if you think you messed up
What's not so great: A little time consuming, extra steps just to include adds for additional services

Like a number of private individuals, we own some forested land in another part of the state. Some selective timber cutting is done over a few years, but the revenue to us from that requires Form T. We have to get and fill out a hard copy, since TurboTax does not include an electronic version of Form T. Therefore, we have to surface-mail our tax returns instead of filing them electronically.
What's great about it: Easy to work with year after year
What's not so great: Does not have federal Form T, so I cannot file electronically

I continue to use Turbo Tax as I feel it is a good product.
What's great about it: Completed relatively quickly
What's not so great: Had to search the web and, eventually, call to find an answer to a question.
