It is a pretty good program overall and it is nice that it picks up previous years' data. Problem w/importing from bank/brokerage company. I've never been able to get that to work.
What's great about it: Takes you through step by step
What's not so great: new forms that were not explained in the final analysis

Problem transferring 2011 return info

I installed T-Tax Deluxe from the purchased CD. Then I downloaded the updates. It just froze (and I let it sit for over an hour) when I asked my 2011 data to be brought in. Tried this many times. Finally de-installed 2012 and also 2011 which was still installed. Then re-installed 2012 "out of the box" without updates and it brought in my 2011 form just fine. Then I accessed the 2012 updates and completed my 2012 form.
The help links were worthless on this issue and the feedback comments were all about how it was nearly impossible to get a person on the phone (much less one who could help). So I just stumbled along trying verious combinations until something worked.

What's great about it: Once I got my prior year information loaded it went great.
What's not so great: Program froze many times trying to get prior year taxes

So Simple Even a Caveman (husband) Can Do It

I would recommend it to anyone who does not like to do taxes. We are not money people and found this to be much easier than expected. We could do this in the privacy and comfort of our own home on our own time.
What's great about it: user-friendly; anticipatory questions
What's not so great: online support took awhile

difficult to know when all the subfoms need to be entered. Would like to do the old way - directly on the forms.
What's great about it: being able to use the forms instead of the easy step
