2012 tax review

Overall, I've been very happy to use Turbo Tax for over 10 years. It's easy, uncomplicated and doesn't take forever to get through the edits.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, consistent, I've been using for almost 10 years.
What's not so great: some extra steps before you can finalize.

All you have to do is follow the simple instructions. If you should have a question, their are many places you can get an answer.

Great product. Forget reading thru all the new tax codes and fussing with all the different tax forms. Just go thru the turbotax prompt and answer all the questions and you'll have returns ready to file in 15 minutes. The program will help you maximize your returns and minimize the time it takes to deal with tax season.
What's great about it: Quick and Easy. Prompts allow you to quickly breeze thru preparing your return and allows you to maximize your refund.
What's not so great: None

Turbo Tax really helped me.

I do not consider myself to be much of a computer-literate person, nor am I particularly good at financial work, but Turbo Tax makes it possible for me to do my taxes in a relatively easy and efficient manner.
I appreciate the approach and the depth of information that is available.

The estimated taxes paid section is buried in the wrong place. It should be more toward the end. Found it difficult to find.

After many years of filing manually, I discovered TurboTax a few years ago and have used it ever since. It makes a distasteful task much easier to bear as it guides me through the process. Best of all, each year TurboTax seems to get even better!!
What's great about it: Sure makes filing simple, easy, and cost-effective

I have been using Turbo Tax since 1995 and continue to love it; it is accurate and has everything I need. I've even convinced my kids to use their brains and use it!
What's great about it: the detailed step by step
What's not so great: I had some trouble with TD F 90-22.1
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Good Product - One Change Needed...

To elaborate on the negative, it almost seems like it would be easier to enter this information in spreadsheet form instead of entering one transaction at a time. It would be even better if it allowed for import from an excel spreadsheet. I have a broker that doesn't show up on your list of brokers for downloading...
What's great about it: Simple to use and easy to understand...A caveman can do it
What's not so great: The stock sales entry is really clunky...there needs to be an easier way for those of us who have enter data manually
