Did it with TurboTax again

Had to ask about dependent who I support but doesn't live with me. Also confusing regarding filling out 1099 Misc expenses worksheet
What's great about it: keeps up to date information needed
What's not so great: asked to many questions i didn't need

TurboTax still is great way to do something don't really like. It does great job of walking you thru all the questions and prompting you for data. Sometimes it is a little difficult to know what exactly is being asked for, but usually the help clears that up, although not always. It might be useful if told why the info is needed or where it will be used to decide if worth doing.
Would like to see better road map for IRA to show all options so can better make decision on whether to contribute and what type.

What's great about it: Good questioning for input; Organization of information generally good;
What's not so great: On income screen (et al), new catagory is added at bottom, so must scroll down to get to it. IRA still awkard to use.

After more than 10 Years ...

I have used Turbo Tax for more than 10 years with great ease, comfort and trust that is done correctly. With tax program you can do it yourself and not give to a local bookkeeper who will probably use Turbo Tax thenselves but give you a hefty charge. Do it yourself with Turbo Tax and rest assured that it is right.
What's great about it: Easy and covers everything that is likely for the 98% of us.
What's not so great: none

Refund!!

I've used Turbotax for years and I've had a refund for most of those years. I use it to estimate my W4 deductions after each tax season. Most questions are easily answered right in the forms and e-file makes things so easy.
What's great about it: Easy to use, minimal jargon
What's not so great: Occasional questions hard to find answers to

This is my 10th year with TurboTax! I feel as confident and safe as though I am a "Tax Person" for profit!
What's great about it: I could take a break, gather materials I had forgotten, and still pick up where I left off
What's not so great: sometimes I got lost, but then I found the index & search helped greatly
