Good basic tax software

Software is easy to use for anyone that takes the time to do there own taxes. Saves me bunch of money both in cost and in taxes. This is my daughters taxes who spent most of last year in Afghanistan.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: none that I could find
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Tax Relief!

TurboTax is easy to use, and checks your return more than once for mistakes or red flags. It also rates your audit risk. I have used turbo tax for at least 7 years, and have been pleased with it each year! I am confident in its thoroughness when I send my returns in.
What's great about it: Very systematic and methodical
What's not so great: some available credits didn't have explanation for state returns

TurboTax makes it as easy as possible and goes the extra distance to help get your full return you are entitled to. All you have to do is click and read they do the math .Love it !!

Easy way to do Taxes

The instructions are very good are are easy to follow. 1. But after the screen says Texas does not have State Taxes & I don't have to file, it still tells me a few screens later that I have not yet filed State Taxes. I think the program should remember what it said before. 2. Also, the prgram needs to provide an explanation re: e-filing PIN numbers although it does, it does not explain whether a new one is required every year. I could not find information on this on your web site so I just requested a new one for this year. I hope this was correct.
What's great about it: Easy to use. This is the 3rd or 4th year I've used TurboTax & I love it.
What's not so great: See below; my comments did not fit here.

2012 Taxes

Have been using Turbo Tax for years. The easy to follow steps, and assured math calculations are big pluses. Very helpful for difficult areas like rental properties and such.
What's great about it: Easy to follow; understandable explanations.
What's not so great: Navigating back to previous pages for changes.

The Turbo Tax program is excellent. The hidden cost of the state e-filing caught me by surprise. You need to include this charge up front.
What's great about it: Easy to follow the step by step instructions
What's not so great: The price of Turbo Tax should include the cost of e-filing the state tax as well.

Best ever

This is the 2nd year I've used TurboTax. I found it to be more user friendly than TaxAct. I will stay with Turbo Tax for my income tax returns. I would gladly recommend Turbo Tax to any tax payer.
