Very Thorough

My old roommate is a CPA and I showed him the program and he was impressed with the thoroughness of the program. I wish I could down load the information directly from my bank and brokerage accounts and from my emloyers.
What's great about it: Very Thorough
What's not so great: There aren't many downlaods available for tax info
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This is an excellent product that makes this dreaded task easier to do. The screens have been well thought out and are helpful even to the novice.
What's great about it: Great product. Very intuitive and easy to follow.

It's the Little Things

Here's the deal. Turbo Tax is simple to use. It explains what you need. It gives you the option to fill in your own forms or you can use the step by step tutorials by simply answering questions. It's really hard to go wrong.
I wouldn't think of taking an deduction for the estimated amout of sales tax I've paid last year. I don't keep those reciepts, so I would have simply skipped that part. Not Turbo Tax! They know what would be at least a minimal, safe amount you could deduct that is reasonable based upon your income.
What about the latest government allowed credit for going to college? I don't know what all those programs are, but Turbo Tax plugged into them and gave me a great credit--one that made the difference between paying and getting a refund!
I've been using Turbo Tax for about 10 years now. Why would I ever consider paying someone to do my taxes when I can do them myself simply and actually understand what all those terms meant?
I recommend Turbo Tax. I snag one every year!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax looks for the little deductions you might not think to list.

Easy Refund

Overall I rate this as a very good package. The only reason I didn't rate it excellent was stated in the cons above. I've been using Turbo Tax since 1996, and I haven't found a good reason to change yet.
What's great about it: Best and easiest Step-by-step & easy to change to forms & back
What's not so great: Much late checking before e-file could be done earlier

i have used for years, only frustration, is when you finish entering your income or deductions, it brings you up to the top and you have to scoll down to go to the next section. It would be nice if that was at the top of the page,

What's not so great: once you are done with each section, turbo returns to the top

So easy I could do it

Overall, the experience was even better than last year. The program gets better every year. It was a little confusing regarding dependents living with you. I guess that was done to ensure you read carefully. I had to go back as it did not give the full deduction when it should have due to incorrectly marking yes.
What's great about it: Easy, done under 2 hours
What's not so great: a few tricky questions regarding child living with you etc

I have been using Turbo Tax for nearly 20 years and it never steers me wrong. I always have an accurate return if I pay attention to the questions they are asking and I enter the numbers correctly.
What's great about it: walk through, easy to use, error check and analysis of return
