Dumbing Down the IRS

I can't imagine doing our taxes any other way. I am NOT a numbers person, so the idea of doing it all by hand fills me with dread. Turbo Tax at least helps retain my sanity.
What's great about it: Can start and stop anytime and go back where you left off. Can also easily edit .
What's not so great: I don't like doing taxes no matter how easy it is.

Very Easy

I can't say enough about Turbo Tax's tech support team.
Turbo Tax software experts hung with me much longer than many other company tech support teams do with no pressure to get me off the phone. They all seemed very nice!
Turbo Tax's... tax experts, are well informed & know what they're doing... in my experience anyway.
The software itself is very easy to use & guides me through everything step by step. Nice!
What's great about it: Step by step guided tax preparation without the studying required by doing taxes by hand.
What's not so great: I encountered a glitch that took me 4 hours on the phone to solve.... but they stayed with me & we got through it.

Easy Breezy

This is my third time using TurboTax and I LOVE it. The instructions are easy to follow and I've gotten larger refunds in the past three tax cycles than I ever did with going to the tax prep offices. I see the commercials on TV about them checking my return for more money and all I can do is laugh because historically, they got me the smaller refunds. I'm sold!

Overall good experience. I was thrown off at the end because of the warning that I had a high risk for audit. I went back and reviewed, made some small changes that got me a smaller return but still came up with a high overall risk for audit. I did purchase audit defense.
What's not so great: Hard to locate some areas that show up later in sequence

I Like It!

I've been using Turbo Tax for years and recommend it to others. I've found it easy to use and it has improved each year. You may wish to look at the ease of switching from the item-by-item interface to the forms to make it a little bit easier. All in all, not a bad experience.
What's great about it: Ease of use, especially the explanations and help

Ease of use

I have used Turbo Tax for about the last 10 years and love the ease of use. It brings forward the information from last years return and ask all of the questions that help me to get the most deductions possible. I plan to continue to use Turbo Tax for many years to come.
What's great about it: Recall of last years taxes. Step by Step walk through.
What's not so great: Don't know of any.
