Screaming Success

Last Saturday I was nearly finished with my taxes. Everything up to that point had been working in it's usual flawless manner. I opened Turbo Tax and said Yes to the automatic update. That's when the screaming started. The update process "broke" Turbo Tax. I couldn't use it or open any returns. For three hours I followed the steps on the web site, without success. Finally, I called the support # and spoke with a highly competent American. She gave me the help I needed to get the software working again. Taxes are successfully submitted now.
What's great about it: Works Great!
What's not so great: When the update process doesn't break it.

2012 efile refund review

I've used TurboTax for at least 5 years. This was the smoothest one yet. The directions were easy to follow and almost perfect. This years return was the fastest of all. I will be using TurboTax next year. Keep up the good work.
What's great about it: Quick, easy to follow directions.
What's not so great: Had 2 small problems with zip code of charity & check routing Number.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I can't imagine doing the taxes can be so easy with TurboTax. Initaily I started filling the paper work but it was cumbersome and a friend suggested to use TurboTax. I'm never going back and will use TurboTax forever.
What's great about it: Very easy and quick!!
What's not so great: Constant request to upgrade.

Try, Try and Try again!

I started my return with the on line version, however, it would not run. TTX simply would not respond. I then downloaded TT deluxe product and completed my return but did not file as I wanted to review it again. When I returned to do the review at a later date, half of the information was missing. Somehow all of my deductions were lost and at that point I felt it was better to start over. Also, TT asked many senseless questions regarding a 1099 misc that I received.
Well, I'm now done , but do not relish the idea of going through this experience again next year. I will certainly look at alternative programs.

Turbo Tax Saved The Day!!!

Found out today I'm loosing my job earlier than hoped. Not the greatest mindset to do a tax return. Thanks to Turbo Tax's step by step instructions and suggestions, gathering all the information to complete our tax return was not the stressful experience it has been in the past. It's also nice to know how much of a refund we will get and that it will arrive soon.
What's great about it: Pleasant experience for a stressful annual responsibility

Very simple to use; the program pulls necessary forms as needed; the guided format makes the entire process easy to understand; great tool to keep up to date not only for filing current taxes, but also to educate self on upcoming taxes!

Saved preparer fee!

Turbo tax is nice that you can efile Federal Returns free for more that one person (Ex: self and child's). Saved a high professional preparer fee. Didn't like not being able to "Live Chat" with a professional tax expert which I was under the impression you could, but was unable to.
What's great about it: Saved me preparer fee, step by step
What's not so great: I thought you could live chat with a tax expert while preparing
