Great Tax Software

I love Turbo Tax. It is very easy to use! This year I had to file a tax return in 3-separate states. Turbo tax made it easy.
What's great about it: Very easy to use.
What's not so great: Sometimes the explanations for fields does not give me the information that I am looking for.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using TT for about 8 years. I have not had any issues. I like the download from the previous years of TT it sure saves alot of time. The long term loss carryover certainly helps and makes short work of the forms. Thank you. please continue to upgrade the product.

I always felt like a math idiot and the thought of doing my own taxes scared me but a friend convinced me to try it--once! That was 12 years ago. I've been doing my own taxes every year since.

Biggest refund ever!

Great software and easy to use. I got a bigger refund this year than ever, and I was worried I may have to pay this year! Thanks TurboTax!
Here are some suggestions:
I almost made a big mistake in claiming all of the depreciation for assets that were shared between rental and personal use. For the rental unit in our basement, I entered the the expenses for the whole property and had TurboTax divide them based on the percentage of square footage used for the rental. I mistakenly thought TurboTax would use the same percentage for depreciating appliances and equipment that were purchased for the property. It didn't! And I almost missed it. The directions/guidance for this section (only) were rather unclear and misleading. TurboTax asked if I used the asset 100% of the TIME for that use/property, which I did. I had just finished entering 100% of the expenses, which TurboTax then divided by square footage percent, so I assumed TurboTax wanted 100% of use on that property and it would again divide by the square footage percent to determine the actual depreciation allowance for the rental. It doesn't! You have to enter percentage of useage determined by square foot for that asset when it asks TIME used for business.

Also, it would be really nice to be able to go back to a specific entry without having to start at the beginning of the section and answer 10 questions over again leading up to that entry.
What's great about it: Same great program, only better and easier this year.

I am so pleased with Turbo Tax's easy questions and ease of use. I have used it for years! It updates itself and pulls up my information from last year's return so its super easy to use!
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Taxes take a long time to compute
