Very thorough

I have been using TurboTax for several years and I appreciate its ease of use. I am now a trained Income Tax Preparer and it does a quick job of the task even though i could do it without a computer program to help. I also like that information transfers from year to year and that I can save it electronically for future reference.
What's great about it: Easy to use, walked me through the steps

It was pretty easy to get everything done. Turbo Tax did most of the work for me; All I did was plug in the numbers where they go and answer a few easy Yes/No questions, and my taxes were filed as easy as that.
What's great about it: Easy, clear, not confusing
What's not so great: Ads for additional products

I have been using Turbo Tax to complete my and my husband's taxes for the past 4 years and love the ease of use. Thank you.
What's great about it: The Easy Guide is extremely user friendly
What's not so great: None that I can think of
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

wish you had a medical expenses service/calculator like charities
What's great about it: helped identify if all forms were submitted by banks/w-2s, etc...
What's not so great: need more extensive descriptions

Using TurboTax each year since 2004

When I started using TurboTax around 2004, for a few years I'd do both the paper Return and the TT return - it would help me understand what was needed, and why. Now I just use TT and I recommend it!
What's great about it: TT is very patient, with lots of explanations
What's not so great: I get a bit lost in it at times

easy to use

Ive used Turbo Tax for years and use for my kids as well. Its much easier than trying to read the tax booklets for either the state or federal forms.
What's great about it: step by step guide
What's not so great: education expenses didnt flow well this year, very confusing

Good, but could be better

My wife and I used a CPA for years until we moved. Last year we had a lot of trouble finding a new CPA through references. The one guy we did use turned out to be a total flake, so we decided to try TurboTax this year. The main issue I have is that some items on our MA state return weren't easy to understand--and there is no live return support, only a forum--so I wound up going in circles for a few weeks until I was finally able to work it out on my own. So I'm not entirely confident that the return won't get kicked back to us by the state. We'll see what happens.
What's great about it: Covered all my deductions & credits
What's not so great: Needs live tax return support
