Over all better to use than other software products. Easy to file copy to your computer.
Only complaint is getting held up by items such as 'Income
which generated 'Foreign Tax' on 1099. My broker does not
provide this and I hate to estimate it. It would be nice if we could skip this part especially if the credit is, say, less tahn $30.00.

What's great about it: Covers detail stuff. Fairly easy to use.
What's not so great: Hold you up on petty issues like zip codes for charity orgs.

Time and Money Saver

The sections for taxable social security and nondeductable IRA are awesome. Not having to do the calculations saved me at least three hours.

like the simple and easy to fill out steps. some sections that are not related to my taxes took too long to go through, if there is a skip button, that would be great! otherwise a very good tool.
What's great about it: easy to walk through
What's not so great: too many steps in some unrelated sections

Turbo Tax Deluxe Review for 2012

Program simply stopped responding multiple times and needed to be reloaded while being used on a Windows 7 PC.
Program also could not electronically transmit information regarding "Income in Respect of a Descedent" for a Beneficiary IRA.

What's great about it: Multiple Questions for Deductions That Otherwise Might Have Been Missed. Performance of Electronic Calculations
What's not so great: Program Stopped and Had to Be Reloaded Multiple Times.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Nothing Paid/Nothing Returned

I could not get past the State Tax file screen. But with
the excellent help of Christine the tax forms has been
e-filed. She deserves 5 gold stars because she
was very patient with a senior who is still trying
to learn the computer.
