Turbo Tax for Life

I've been using TurboTax for over 15 years. Its been easy to use every time. Rental properties, K-1's, itemized deductions are all easy to enter.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: I don't like paying to electronically file my state return - over priced

Tax review

While i enjoyed doing state and federal returns the local tax returns did not seem to cover what i needed in as much detail. I had 2 municipalities to pay taxes to (due to a mid year move), one I had paid estimated taxes and the other nothing. Turbo tax did not seem to cover this and this was the whole reason i bought the deluxe version.
What's great about it: Explanation of what was being asked
What's not so great: local taxes were difficult to understand

Easy to follow, reliable tax program!

I have used TurboTax off and on through the years. The only times I didn't use it were when I was partnering in a small business and my partners CPA brother did our business and personal returns. I love the simplicity and step by step guide utilizing specific questions to help you provide the correct answers for your return that TurboTax provides. I'll never consider using anything else and it's a lot cheaper than a CPA for almost any return!
What's great about it: Guides you through the return step by step, even through complicated questions about your financials and taxes.
What's not so great: None.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great with one exception

When filling out the proceeds for my real estate transaction the form asked for NET PROCEEDS and stated that this amount includes the expense of the sale. If the amount asked includes the costs of the sale then the amount asked for is really the GROSS PROCEEDS of the sale. This was a little misleading but was clarified in the explanation of "net proceeds".
What's great about it: very complete
What's not so great: misleading word used

The program was so easy to use. The program would not work on my 10yr old desktop for some reason, but after saving my old return on a flash drive the program transfered all the old data to the program that I put my laptop.
What's great about it: So easy to use
What's not so great: the part about adding state sales tax was a little confuseing.

Great as usual

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. I enjoy the Easy Guide process, which allows me to ensure I don't forget anything, as well as the additional tips provided as links.
I am an accountant, so I appreciate the logic of the program and the ease of use, as well as the ongoing update to the refund number.
What's great about it: Easy and accurate, complete questions and guidance

Great Experience

Just finished filing my return, so we shall see how it ends up. But in the here and now, it was extremely quick and easy. I was able to import some documents and answer questions quickly enough that the whole process took less than an hour. Turbotax was a lot easier to use than another tax program that I used last year. Overall, the product was affordable, the process simple and quick, and the results look fantastic.
What's great about it: Quick, Easy, Great Help
What's not so great: None yet
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
