Always The Best!

I have been a user of TurboTax tax software for over 30 years. My use of this software has ranged from the Basic program to Home & Business, and have found each to be exceptional in its:
* Easy download capability
* Informative highlights and changes
* Ease of use
* Timely updates

TurboTax is far more than a tax filing program, it is an exceptional tax planning software. I am able to utilize TurboTax well into the proceeding year as a tax planning tool. TurboTax products continue to be an a indispensable asset to both the novice and professional.
What's great about it: 1. Easy download 2. Informative highlights & changes 3. Ease of use 4. Timely updates
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used TT for 10 years. Very user friendly and nice interface. The upload of my employers W2 information was a nice feature this year that worked well.

Easy as pie!

This product is great. It allows you to feel secure in what is needed and being asked. The questions are easy to answer and straight forward. It also finds deductions and credits that you couldn't possibly dream of. It's like having your own personal accountant right at your fingertips.

Another year done

For years I took my taxes to a professional, just to find out that when all said and done I was paying a lot of money and not getting really anything back extra for what I was charged. I purchased Turbo Tax, it walks you through each step, you told what forms of information are required to enter under spefcic areas of your return, and it allows you to stop and start without loosing your place. I've taken what my returns to have them double checked and only once found that I would have recieved more back, and thats only because I over looked a child care deduction. Great product
What's great about it: It easy to use, walks you through each step, allows you to stop walk away and go back at anytime.

Turbo Tax

I have been using Turbo Tax for at least 15yrs, It just keeps getting easier and easier. It took me 23 minutes to do my taxes this year with all of the unloading features.
Great Job and great software
What's great about it: Easy way to file taxes
What's not so great: cost of State E filing
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Did the job, but not for MD state

I could not enter the MD State "Additions to Income, Tax-exempt interest on state and local obligations (bonds) other than Maryland - Line 2." It was grayed out. Since I couldn't enter it directly, I tried to find the data source on the 1099, which is supposed to be the calculated value based on the percentage that is provided in the 1099 details. I know it must be something I'm doing wrong, but I couldn't figure it out and couldn't find any help on the subject. In order to fill in MD state Line 2, I ended up having to fill out the state form manually and mail it in.
What's great about it: Simple when you can download 1099 data directly from financial institutions
What's not so great: Not so simple if you can't download 1099 data directly from financial institutions
