Easy Breezy Refund

It took me no time to complete my 2012 taxes. I just had a few little changes and everything was there for me. I really enjoyed doing my taxes this fast!!
What's great about it: Very fast, efficient, done in no time at all.
What's not so great: None

TurboTax Fan Still

TurboTax is a highly-evolved application. I've used it for many years, and it continues to provide excellent results. I think anyone can use it to prepare their returns, both federal and state. The only downside to the program is that it tends to "hide" the tax forms, so it is a bit difficult to follow and understand where your inputs are going.
What's great about it: Very easy to use - no tax familiarity required.
What's not so great: Hides tax details unless you open individual forms.

Easy to follow

This was extremely easy to use. Love to use it year after year so can follow along and have all of last year's information loaded and just need to input this year's numbers. Like to get the detail on different areas so that I can see if can use or make a note to see if can use for future years. Easy to efile and always can follow where at in the refund process. Does all the math and calculations.
What's great about it: Easy to follow along

I am not sure at various input points what exactly the process is solving. The variables that are of issue may require a Spread sheet type of approach to make sure I have covered all source documents.
What's great about it: Good calculations make the difference
What's not so great: What about an upfront interview to start.

I have had some minor problems in the past with turbo tax but this year my taxes were more complicated and I cruised right through with very little effort. thanks.
What's great about it: quick transfer from last year
What's not so great: no complaints this year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I love that TT instantly updates from last year's return and downloads this year's income. I can go back and forth through my information and numbers and back again via 3 simple routes: Easy Guide, On My Own and Forms. Easy Guide and On My Own explain any question asked that I do not know how to answer. Forms allows me to see what the government is seeing. I like to watch the numbers change as I enter each figure. I love that it checks my claims for consistency, missing information and errors. I am always confident my claims are accurate 100%.

Finally did my taxes. yeah!

I am glad this product is out there. I needed to get this done and I do not like going to a tax preparer. I think it is too expensive and time consuming.
What's great about it: It was fast and I did them at home
What's not so great: I am not computer saavy and got frustrated with my computer
