I am a CPA and I swear by Turbo Tax - it takes you through every scenario you need to consider. You get the choice to be as detailed as you want or just answer the questions and you can by pass much of the detail not needed - your choice.
What's great about it: Walks you through everything you need to know
What's not so great: Pay to e-file state return after you purchase the software

I've always had a good experience using Turbo Tax.This is about the 5th year I've used Turbo Tax.

GREAT PROGRAM

Forms are easy to use. I have never used an easier program. Rolling forward prior year's information is a real time saver. Looking at the 2 year comparison reminds of you missing information. The program highlights errors or omissions on an input sheet which makes finding the error easy.
What's great about it: Easy to use; fill in forms make it ez to enter most data
What's not so great: Hot buttons to open a new form are sometimes buried in the middle or the end of the form
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I really like how TurboTax works with banks, investment firms, etc to easily just import all of your required forms.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. I itemize my deductions and find the system very easy to follow. This is my second year to e-file my return. I find this easy and convenient. I do not have any intentions of deliberately cheating on my taxes, but I still appreciate the fact that my forms are reviewed for errors and the possibility of an audit.
What's great about it: Easy to follow . Concise. Allows me to correct errors or completely change information. Great support on Chat Line
