Overall this is the best way to do your taxes without paying thru the nose to a professional preparer. It is very cautious, precise and thorough in asking every question and checking behind yourself for errors.
What's great about it: very thorough in looking for all deductions
What's not so great: so much to look thru

State Experience Disappointing

I did not like my experience with state taxes. I had 3 states to process. I encountered bad grammar, words spelled incorrectly and turbo tax told me my NJ return was ready for e- filing but it was rejected.
What's great about it: Federal is easy
What's not so great: States were bad

less happy with Turbo Tax this year

This was the first year I just didn't know what they were asking from me in several key areas for rental properties.
I also found it difficult since we filed 2 state returns, to understand what they wanted for each state. I felt like I did more manual calculations.

I also found it expensive to buy Turbo Tax and then 2 states and then pay to file the second state. I could have taken this to my accountant for just a few dollars more and felt more secure in my fiings.
What's great about it: Still like that it walks me through my return
What's not so great: I found it more confusing and I was less able to find my answers.

Always reliable

My return is fairl;y simple, but Turbo Tax makes it easy and quick. I have used it for years and I like that the interface is pretty much the same from year to year. I miss seeing which form is being worked on as they did in the "old " days, but otherwise, no complaints.

Easiest Return Ever

The process was very straight-forward. The questions were in easy to understand language. There were links for additional information, if I need it. It only took about an hour to do, and then my returns were able to be filed electronically. Easy Peasy

Great Product

I've been using TurboTax each year since 1997 and ithis year's taxes seem the easiest so far.
Only one small complaint. Just (seconds) before transmitting my taxes TurboTax found a value that I left out on Business expenses. I'm glad it did but it should have been discovered long before that point.
What's great about it: Simple to work through all the tax complexity
What's not so great: Found a last minute mistake
