So Simple

Have used Turbo Tax for the past several years and I love how easy it is to follow the guidelines. Have taken me returns to others to see if they could find other deductions that would allow me to get a larger return and none of them were able to find anything. Turbo Tax will always be my way of filing my taxes.
What's great about it: Extremely easy to follow guidelines
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Very thorough

Have used Turbo Tax since it first came out. It keeps getting better. Will continue to use in retirement years.
What's great about it: very good coverage and detail
What's not so great: sometimes difficult to move from form to appropriate step-by-step sequence

Almost perfect.

The program is very easy to use, and transfers data from last year's Turbotax. The tax support information was excellent. I needed to use it because the step by step did not guide me through how to report income for some pictures I sold to a magazine that gave me a check with no 1099. The telephone support advised me to override the form entry directly to include other income. That worked, but Turbotax would not allow me efile a form with an override, so I had to mail in my return.
What's great about it: Easy to use, Great Tax support information, easy transfer of last year's data.
What's not so great: The step by steps did not have an option for my situation. The program would not let me efile when I had to overide.

Years of Returns

I have used Turbotax for many years, and highly recommend it. I like the fact that it compares your current return against last year's and that it gives a likelihood of audit. I also like the pdf save in case I ever need to look at returns from previous years. The explanations of various income tax terms and conditions is also very useful.
What's great about it: Walk thru of all types income and deductions.
What's not so great: It was a little slow.

2012 TT Review

For the most part really good. The help section was useless to me. Some of the questions they ask did not have enough detail to understand what they want. I also wish they program could look back at what was done 4-5 years and make a comparison to all those.
What's great about it: saves time by importing last years info & for the most part fairly easy to use
What's not so great: some sections I could not delete. Like when I added a second state and didn't need to I couldn't delete it!

Relieve My Stress 2013

I use TT every year because it is so thorough, clear to understand, easily helps me when I ask, & connects with IRS smoothly when needed. When you ID an error, I love the way that you show the error on the forms list, and then color what I need to do in red, on the form. Then I can figure it out. This makes me buy TT year after year. Please don't goof up this app by changing it very much next year! Thanks!
What's great about it: Ability to let a long-time familiar user browse around within the app, to fill out what I want, and still red ID areas.
What's not so great: This year, the app does not pick up exactly where I left off the last time I exited.

Easy as Government Cake

This is the 6th year in a row that I am using this software and I still love it. Never had any problems filing or understanding what to do because everything was clearly outlined. Every year it gets more intuitive and I love that this year they added the option to talk with a live tax pro. I used that option and my issue was resolved quickly and efficiently.
Will definitely be using this for next year as well. Rock on Intuit!
What's great about it: Everything outline to a T
What's not so great: N/A for 2012 Filing

Did not like how it handles non-resident situations. Needs more explanation on how to handle dual state situations.
What's great about it: It's generally very easy to use.
