Easy to use and complete.

Overall GREAT. Keep using Year after year due to satisfaction.
What's great about it: Backup and review.
What's not so great: Credit card expering?
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. This year I decided to pay on line. Turbo Tax assured me I could pick the Pay Date. I suppose the question was there somewhere, but the filing was accepted before there was any opportunity to tell the bank when to pay. I wanted to pay on April 14, not immediately. Perhaps this is a small thing, but it upset me. Next year....

I again had a very successful experience with Turbo Tax. I will continue to use them to prepare my taxes until I reach an income level that requires a tax consultant to figure out the confusion. Thank you Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Directions were easy to follow; explanations were clear and concise; time to look up info before screens went dark
What's not so great: Some steps were repeated when they really didn't need to be

Turbo Tax software

I've used Turbo tax for several years and I generally like the way it handles the income and deductions sometimes I would like it to move along faster but I realize it is trying to cover all of the topics to get the best tax filing possible.
What's great about it: It is nice to have it pull the data from last yr over
What's not so great: Some times hard to move around and I don't like the print screens

TurboTax can do better

Not easy to access and print federal and state forms without turbotax's worksheets included. Final printouts should give an option to print only the forms that I want not a bundle of information that turbotax thinks I need.This year's program much more difficult to make override inputs. Program still not very well designed for retirees. Program seems to make assumption that all retiree income is distributed evenly over the year. If a large amount is distributed at the end of the year and the tax is paid during 4th qtr. est. filing, the program assumes you have not paid your tax in a timely manner and owe interest and possible penalties. I can manually do my taxes quicker than using turbotax. My return is not complex, but I do have six figure income to report. Probably will not purchase turbotax next year.
What's great about it: Calculations & Tax due-Refund meter are good. Charity review is nice.
What's not so great: Big let down from 2011 program.

I have used Turbotax for many years. I once tried another product but was unsatisfied.
The only problem I had was that I accidentally said amend the form, and it took me an hour to figure out how to correct this. It required deleting the state form and starting over.
What's great about it: thorough, accurate, comprehensive, understandable
What's not so great: hard to undo mistake

I have been using TurboTax since it was called MacInTax. I like not having to enter the same information over and over each year. I usually prepare up to five family returns. One year, I transposed two digits on my federal return. Fortunately, after receiving notice from the IRS, I was able to easily find the return and confirm that I had made an error.
I did feel that the printing instructions were not very clear this year.
What's great about it: "Where Somebody Knows Your Name"
What's not so great: State E-file too expensive

Not enough info about filling out form 8606.
Schedule K-1 for Partnership asks questions which are not explained in words that a human being can understand. Very poorly written.
