Best Program to Use

I have used Turbotax for years and have found it to be the most reliable tax program out there. It is easy to use and edit, and I have never had problems with any forms I have submitted.

Easy to Use

I have been using Turbo Tax for about a decade. It is fast, reliable, and on-line tools and information is helpful. I like that it checks my returns and catches any errors before I send them in.
What's great about it: The best is the ItsDeductible website; it really helps with deductions all year
What's not so great: I give money to a IRS approved Canadian University but the product doesn't have Canadian postal codes and Provinces

I've used TT for a number of years with a relatively complex return and it has served me well. I'd recommend it to anyone.
What's great about it: Logical and thorough progression through Fed and State process

Very User Friendly

I have used Turbo Tax for several years and really like it. The HSA HDHP section was a little rough. It assumed my husband did not have an HDHP when he really does under my group insurance. Resolved this turbo tax snag by checking that he does have an HSA which he does have access to pay medical bills under the HSA set up with my employer.
What's great about it: Logic is easy to follow
What's not so great: HSA HDHP section was a little hard to follow

Fast and Simple

I like TurboTax because it gives me two choices of entering data. I can either answer all of the questions that TurboTax asks, or if I am familiar with a category I can jump to different areas and fill in the data on my own.
My only complaint is that sometimes I gather a lot of information for a specific deduction, enter it, and TurboTax says I can't take that deduction but does not explain why.
What's great about it: TurboTax asks the questions. I give the answers and my return is done!
What's not so great: If a deduction is not allowed (perhaps because it doesn't meet a minimum target) TurboTax sometimes does not say why.

Being retired with less forms and reduced complications seems there should be a reduced cost for reduced use.
