easy to use

This year the program continued to make improvements over last year and was again very simple to use.
I love the fact that it can import your w2 automatically.The year to year comparision, as you fill in your return, is great. It helps you remember what you did last year.

Turbo Tax experience

I prepared my return on an older Toshiba Satellite laptop so that may account for these two points:
1) having to scroll down to click on "Continue"
1) the faint blue default bullets were difficult to see

Smooth to use

Although you may find cheaper software, TurboTax is the best. It can even take a novice and make them a filing expert.
What's great about it: The program is intuitive. It walks you through the most difficult situations.

7 Years of Turbo Tax

We've used Turbo Tax for seven straight years and have been well-pleased every time. It's thorough, well-organized, and gives us confidence that our taxes are processed accurately. We're also confident that without using Turbo Tax, our refunds would not be nearly as much as they have been.
What's great about it: Well-structured, easy to understand, can easily stop and start multiple times, auto-completes many fields using previous

state change of mind

I put my refund to my next years estimated state tax and then ,without completing the return , I wanted to change that and Tubo tax wouldn't let me. Also the State Tax return lacked in explanations.
What's not so great: I couldn't change my mind on applying my refund to next year, even though the return had not been sent.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Works

Basic program works well. Had issues with MI tax, partly state fault and partly TT for not making what was needed clear. But better than last year were program had major english and accounting errors. So maybe next year I can do without having to go to internet and friends to get clarifications.
What's great about it: Basic is simple to use
What's not so great: Not easy doing stocks
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I found the Turbo Tax 2012 ( Federal and State) Deluxe version to work very well in comparsion to the system that I have used in the past.
