I have used Turbo Tax since 2004. For me, it is easy to understand, convenient for me to work on, and much more efficient. I can work on them in my pajamas at my kitchen table, and get together my documents at my leisure.

Small hurdles but overall everything is good

Maybe I did something wrong, but one of the reason I use TurboTax is how easily it is to import your W2's and other personal info from previous returns. Last year I used the TurboTax website, which fouled things up this year when I bought the CD as have done in the past several years. TurboTax didn't import much at all. It is a small gripe to some but it is one of the biggest selling points for me. I like to get my taxes finished and out of the way as quick as possible.
Unless something better comes a long or if TurboTax raises the price, I see myself using the CD version next year to keep it simple for myself.
What's great about it: Usually pretty easy (if you have the software installed from previous year)
What's not so great: 2011 I did mine online, this year I bought the CD. Didn't transfer the info over as easily as it did in the past.

Great Experience

I used the Easy Guide. That "walked me through" the process. At several stages I was curious to see what particular Schedules looked like. I wanted to double-check that things looked right. But, I didn't see how I could do that.
What's great about it: Easy - just answer the questions
What's not so great: I would like to view the return as it develops.

I had $14,000 in bills to the hospital and medicine and I could not put it on my return because it wasn't enough. I use to put totals as these in the past on my return just to keep as a record.
What's great about it: Very efficient and software friendly
What's not so great: Software limits you on what you can do
