Got my refund

I have been using Turbo tax for years. Easy to use. It walks you through what to do and I got a great refund. I even went to a tax professional last year to see if I would get more on my refund but I got the same amount. Save your money and get Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: easy to use
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've used TurboTax for years and think it's great. It has unfortunately gotten more expensive over the years as well, but what hasn't? If you like to be in control of your finances...this is for you! Really simple.
What's great about it: Easy Guide
What's not so great: All payments are not communicated up front and must continue.
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Love Turbotax, goes over all of your Income and Deductions and you can go back and make any corrections.
What's great about it: I like the PDF Preview and Saving.
What's not so great: Does not SAVE if you click the RED X

I been using computer tax preparation since 1987 and Turbotax since about 1995. It's greatly helped in the simple things, but also handles more complex things like partnerships and trusts. Being able to make on the spot changes and then pressing a button to change all the associated forms is invaluable. Just from my experience, you may have simple taxes now but eventually you will need something like Turbotax or an accountant($$$). Did my brother-in-laws Fed and Iowa taxes in 20 min with Turbotax. Doing my own taxes has really helped me understand my finances and helped me take advantage of our rediculously complex tax system. Start now... you won't regret it in the long run.
What's great about it: Easy to use, well worth the money,
What's not so great: Needs a check for duplicate broker downloads - have to refile for last year because of duplicate broker accout downloads

I recommend it to all my friends that have paid accountants big bucks to calculate their taxes. Love the convenience of filing the state tax too!! Stress free. Third year that I've used Turbo Tax and no problems.
What's great about it: Walked me through everything I needed.
What's not so great: Can't think of any cons.
