Easy Painless Tax Preparation

I buy Turbo Tax as soon as it is ready in November. I plug in all the numbers for income and deductions, playing with the amount withdrawn from my IRA to come up with the optimum amount to take out of my IRA for the year. This allows me to avoid the AMT, avoid larger Medicare premiums and control the amount I pay in Federal taxes. I think this would also work for deciding whether to sell investments, make large charitable contributions or whatever end of year tax planning you do.
I leave the preliminary numbers in Turbo Tax and doublecheck them as the real data arrives in January.
You can import a lot of your data from financial institutions rather than typing it in.
I have used Turbo Tax for about a dozen years and have never had a problem. I will be using it again next year.
What's great about it: 2 ways to use - answer questions or fill in forms. Shows previous years entries. Saves time. Never a problem!

Easier than Expected!

We've held out on getting Turbo Tax for years, thinking our filing would be too complicated. We would try a new competitor every tax season which repeatedly left us feeling like we'd been mugged by smiling, pencil pushing extortionists. I can't believe we didn't try this sooner. We could have saved ourselves at least $1500.00!!
What's great about it: Fast and easy.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy Peasy

I've used TurboTax since 2000 and have never had an easier time than this year. I spent about an hour entering all my information and then submitted it all on line. Easy Peasy!
What's great about it: Asked all the questions to complete my refund

Very efficient data entry. "Estimated taxes" worksheets improved over previous years (brings current year foward with detailed questions to make changes for next year).
I use the interview and then review the detailed forms. A split screen showing the detailed form when using interview mode would be very helpful

Easy to do without being a tax specialist!

Turbo Tax is the greatest thing to come along. Used to do taxes by hand, and got all caught up in reading tax laws to see if they applied (most didn't apply, but it was certainly hard to figure it out). Wilth Turbo Tax, as long as I have all my information available, it takes about 1.5 hours to complete and submit my tax returns. (I keep all documents--such as charitable deductions and mortgage interest statements-- in a file easily available at the end of the year).
I've had no reason to try any of the other software--will keep using TurboTax!
What's great about it: 4th year of using; it's easy and accurate! Covers all the deductions you might miss--does addition for you!

Depend and Trust TurboTax

I have used TurboTax for 7 years. I love and trust TurboTax. TurboTax offers detailed explanations, makes suggestions of situations that may apply, reviews your tax return for possible errors, offers risk assessment, and is easy to use overall. Great product! Keep up the good work!

One less thing to worry about!

I'm a first time user of Turbo Tax. It downloaded in a few minutes and the filing instructions were detailed and easy to understand. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a stress free way to file their taxes.
