Pretty fast

I need to keep track of receipts and what I can save money with better, but the product here is good...I just need it to be on my phone, always reminding me to save receipts and such.
What's great about it: Fast to do, seemed easy enough
What's not so great: Didn't know all the things I could get credits/deductions on in advance

This is the best software you can buy! Do not be tempted to go cheap with others. TT keeps track of everything and remembers it all year after year so filing gets easier every time you use it.

Excellent...
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: If you live in a State that does not have tax ( ex. TN ), no need to ask if we need to file state taxes

Liked the copy from last year's return - saves a lot of redundant entry and provides good reminders.
All in all, both straightforward and easy to understand.
It might be helpful to present a printable list of documents needed at the outset to enable users to go through files and organize first.

Doing it yourself makes you understand your taxes

once you've used turbotax you'll likely never try another product as it fills in information from the prior year's return and that alone saves you lots of time.
I used to have to make 2 appointments with my CPA. one to explain all my paperwork and another to pick it up or approve the return, wait till they corrected one or two small items and review again, pay a huge bill and then listen to them pitch a financial product at me as I was a captive in the office during all of this.
instead of 3 days of dread, I only have one day of torture and without having to leave home.
What's great about it: $900 less than what my old CPA would charge me
What's not so great: one quirk on California return on enterprise zone credit but I know the solution

Last year tax files were saved as PDF files, yet when I opened the files this year not all of the information transferred to this year's Turbo Tax form.
What's great about it: step by step directions
What's not so great: unable to transfer all info

Would have though that info would flow faster between tax years or better tips for deductions.
The walk through screens were good.
