Good experience

Overall, a good product. Previous years info transfers seamlessly, info from "Itsdeductible" downloads easily, easy to file and pay any amount due using electronic payments from my bank account.
I wish it would remember my answers to the interview questions when I go through sections again. Should add a "Next" button if the question was previously answered, rather than leave it blank and make me answer it again.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate using interview questions
What's not so great: Doesn't remember some of my answers when I go through sections again
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax makes it Possible to File my Own Taxes

I've been filing my taxes for many years and Turbo Tax Deluxe gives me the courage to keep doing it. I was able to import my broker's 1099's and it handled the complicated Schedule D stock sales & basis just fine. The only drawback is for the Georgia return. You still have to manually separate Georgia Tax Exempt Dividends and the Georgia adjustments also require manual intervention (and reading the Georgia tax instructions carefully). But e-filing and direct deposit get the refund delivered promptly.
What's great about it: Easy, Thorough. Turbo Tax Deluxe handles Securites and even K-1's
What's not so great: Adjustments to Georgia - You have to know what you're doing

TurboTax gets better every year. Been using since 1992.
I am confident that my taxes are correct when I use this program, that I did not miis any required inputs, and that the results are correct.

Hard to do 3 at once.

I used the program to do three sets of taxes: mine and those for my 2 sons. It was very frustrating to have to restart Turbo Tax each time I needed to move between the three. There should be a way to do that without closing one and opening another...just have all 3 open at the same time.

I will never go back to the old way of doing our taxes. It is fast, easy and accurate. This year I used the Turbo Tax forums and my questions were all answered to my satisfaction.

GREAT PRODUCT

I've use TT for 10 years. Used the amended return option for 1st time after starting my 2012 return. Completed 2011 1040X and returned to my 2012 return. I thought all of the data from the amended return would replace original 2011 imported data. It does not. Seems that the 2 year summary still uses data from original 2011 file instead of corrected 2011 1040X forms. Also when saving the amended return it created a file that opens only with Turbo Tax. I accessed the file and saved PDF copies with a new name. I did this originally as instructed but files were not found.!??
What's great about it: User friendly, easy to switch from interview to forms mode
What's not so great: The amended return should replace original return .

I've used this software for five years now, I feel it keeps up with current tax laws and changes.
What's great about it: Found the most deductions for us
What's not so great: Sometimes difficult to navigate back to an area

Another easy year!

I've used Turbo Tax for 12 years now, and it gets better every year. They have figured out how to make it easy-to-use, while giving you confidence that it's done right. The ability to download financial tax forms and W-2's changed everything. It's really just donations that take any time now.
What's great about it: Quick, accurate, get to use last years work!
What's not so great: Sometimes, you get stuck on sheets that don't matter this year because you used them last year
