Kept my losses low

The best thing was the detailed lead through to make sure all of the deductions were found.
The worst thing was that sometimes it was a little hard to figure out what was being talked about. For example it took me a while to figure out how the different sources of income had to be deliniated.

TurboTax - 2012 Tax Year

I've used TurboTax for over 10 years now - and it keeps getting better and better every year. I wholeheartedly recommend TurboTax to anyone who wants to file their taxes - file electronically and get your refund back as quickly as 7-10 days!!!
What's great about it: Quick, easy, very helpful!
What's not so great: Sometimes a little too much detail

Great expectations

Turbo Tax has been invaluable to me. I have rental properties and the fact that TT keeps track of depreciation and has asset tracking is huge!!! It is easy to use, step by step instructions, good help files...I can't say enough good things. I can't imagine how much i would have spent taking my paperwork to a CPA over this 14-year period.
What's great about it: I have used Turbo Tax for 14 years. Easy to use, takes you through each step with clear instructions /good help files.
What's not so great: haven't found a way to go to "forms" and edit figures in the form itself.

Turbo suits the title very fast

except for not understanding I was going to pay (I thought I bought a copy that included the state return in the cost) for the state return I was very happy with the whole thing.
What's great about it: Easy to use - not a high learning curve
What's not so great: I thought one state was free

Think it is over priced for what I get. Hard to print a single form if you want to look at just it. If want to print out in Black & White instead of color, not sure how to do that.
What's great about it: Data input fairly easy. Like that it remembers last year info.
What's not so great: Hard to navigate to forms. Search did not work all that well. Explanations not always that good.

Filing is Complete!

I've been using TurboTax for probably 20 years and am "hooked".
What's great about it: The comparison to last year's filing is very helpful in making sure I have not forgotten anything or typed wrong.
What's not so great: It isn't always easy to jump to a form to review it and then go back into the question & answer section.

Turbo Taxing

The program is easy to use, fast, and even has options to import some documents - W2s, interest statements, etc.
Some things are easy to miss or put in incorrectly, like the retirement contributions credit.
What's great about it: Easy to use interface, Fast, Import Features
What's not so great: Easy to miss retirement credit
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
