Great Until the End

Turbo Tax is a wonderful tool to help the average person complete his or her taxes without having to pay the fees of a professional preparer. I feel very confident in my return. However at the end when I am charged the state filing fee, I am somewhat dissatisfied. I feel the cost of the product is sufficient to cover the state filing fee and that this fee is unexpectedly added in at the end. Just a nice little $20 for Turbo Tax. Otherwise, I really like the product.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is incredibly easy and user friendly. I feel confident in the accuracy of my return.
What's not so great: Every year, I feel the fee for state filing is just a nice little perk for Turbo Tax.

Pretty good but weaknesses

When it comes to tax-exempt dividends you do not explain that it is sometimes necessary to enter the same payer twice; e.g. if part of the dividends are from your home state and part are from non-home states.
What's great about it: Mostly very thorough
What's not so great: instructions at times are not clear or complete

"final K1 ? " is not asked, When entered via form mode, it spanned several sub entries.
What's great about it: made doing taxes less of a chore
What's not so great: some K1 entries do not match forms ... need to fake it

turbo tax was very easy to used is a great help for anyone who is a beginner. the more you used the better it get.(try it) I believe you will love the experience.

2012 Turbo tax returns

Good, easy program to use. Have used Turbo Tax for about 8 years and no issues. This year was even easier than usual. Easier to navigate.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate and review - E-filing for the Fed return is easy
What's not so great: Should be able to E-file State return at no charge
