One of the best deals around!

I thought I was done with my taxes this year, and then I received more schedules in the mail that I had never had before. I was afraid I was going to have to hire someone to sort it out for me, but first I checked TurboTax, and sure enough, they specifically listed the very forms I had received and told me exactly what I needed to do about them. And the great news was that it didn't change my taxes at all. Thanks, Turbo Tax!!
What's great about it: Turbotax covers everything! I don't have pay a lot of money to have somebody else figure out my taxes.
What's not so great: I wish the "one free state" also included e-filing that return.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Fast, easy, but a little misleading

The software was very easy to understand and use. The directions are complete and simple. I did not appreciate having to pay to file my state taxes at the very end after I was informed several times that the state filing would be FREE. Bummer and very misleading.
What's great about it: Quick, complete, and accurate filing of state and federal return
What's not so great: Purchased a copy that was supposed to allow one FREE state filing of return but ended up having to pay in the end

Have my family hooked

Bother-in-law had always been old school using a pencil paper, calulator, etc. and spent weeks filing out forms, digging for chages in tax law ,etc. Last year I was visiting during tax seasion. After watching him spending a huge amount of time trying to fill out the forms for their taxes, I told him I always did my taxes with Turbo Tax. He tried to tell me I probably was loosing money - so I challenged him. Told him, lets fill out the federal forms with my copy of Turbo Tax and see if it changed what he was getting back. Showed him the help that came with the programming. To make a long story short - Turbo found deductions that they qualified for that he had missed and ended up getting them several hundred dollars back that they wouldn't have gotten otherwise. This year he bought his only copy of Turbo Tax
What's great about it: Fast easy way to do my taxes
What's not so great: overall didn't have anything I didn't like

Easy and Quick

Overall, this product has worked for me time and time again. I can't see me ever paying someone else to do my taxes when Turbo Tax makes it so easy to do it myself.
What's great about it: Itemized medical expenses easily
What's not so great: occassionally has wording that is confusing
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I fell in love with Turbo tax about 5 years ago. I love the fact that i can do my taxes on my own. no more tax person to go and and make an appointment with them. i do this whenever i want. thanks again Turbo Tax. Ill be using your product till the day i die. lol

Great Deduction Finder!

There are many deductions available through the US Tax Code. By using TurboTax Deluxe, I feel confident that they found them. The interview process covers income, deductions and credits, and finds other ways to help the user get the biggest refund possible. I have been using TurboTax over 10 years and I find it easy to import prior years tax information into the next year. I plan to continue using TurboTax.
What's great about it: Excellent deduction finder
What's not so great: Better support for state taxes...no comparison to prior years

When you have an IRA rollover, you need more explanation, I was looking for a place to indicate rolling over to another IRA other than a Roth...
