The Best... but still a bit tricky

I've used Turbo Tax for years and feel it is, by far, the best Tax S/W available.
I do find a few things difficult [i.e. inputting a self employed 401k/Profit Sharing Plan contribution]. This isn't helped by Fidelity's ambiguous terminology. I stumble on this every year. But, overall, Turbo Tax is the best and i wouldn't consider using anything else.
What's great about it: Comprehensive and reliable
What's not so great: Some things are still difficult to figure out

I've been using Turbo Tax Deluxe since 1994 and have been impressed with the reilability and accuracy of the product. It's easy to use and strikes the perfect balance between too much prompting and info and too little. After running updates, my latest 2012 version dd not automatically restart and over the years I've noticed that a few features have gotten dropped from the deluxe version like tax estimate calculations and a comparsion of your income and deductions with other filers in your tax bracket. Still a great product for the money.
What's great about it: Accuracy; reliability; ease of use; cost
What's not so great: Occasional glitch; less features in newer dekyxe versions

I Always use it

It takes a while to figure out you have to print out of the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
What's great about it: Carryover of prior used information, Enter data same as the W-2s, 1099s etc.
What's not so great: Printing interface is a little obtuse

Feature that guides you through the process is very thorough and reminds about deductions that may have been otherwise forgotten. If changes need to be made or additional information needs to be included you can go directly to a form to edit. Best of both worlds.
What's great about it: Fast & Thorough
What's not so great: Charge 2.49% to allow tax due payment via credit card

The only way to go

I just finished another successful year with Turbotax--more than 12 now. I have confidence in the product and the "tax advice" built into its questions and calculations. I particularly like the time I save because last year's information loads with a click. This year I also completed federal and state returns for a recently deceased family member, saving the family needless worry and money at a difficult time. She had only two 1099R's and three 1099's--it was a snap.
What's great about it: Start with last year's data, easy to switch approaches
What's not so great: Did not bring up 2013 1040 ES without search

it would be helpful to let subscribers know up front that review of the actual forms is possible while in the process of inputting data. it gives you a feeling of comfort to actually see what is being input to each form.
What's not so great: was not aware that you could review the actual form(s) while inputting info.

2012 Tax Return

Overall Excellent. Printing needs to be fixed to allow double sided printing of the 1040 form.
What's great about it: Quick, Easy to use, Accurate, Easy to file
What's not so great: Printing is difficult. Double sided printing does not work, and there is no provision within TurboTax to actually print
